Welcome to the official wikispace for the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics

Program on The Theory and Practice of Fluctuation-Induced Interactions

August 18 - November 21, 2008

Coordinators:Thorsten Emig, Mehran Kardar, Adrian Parsegian, Roya Zandi

Introduction

This wikispace is a repository for resources and conversations among program participants. It supplements the KITP's Official Program Page .
Program participants and researchers who are following the activities remotely are encouraged to add discussion or add new pages.

Getting Started

Learning to use this wiki is no harder than learning to use email. It is mostly menu-driven, and there is a Help link in the upper right of each page. In addition, every page has a discussion board associated with it. To peruse comments or to add your thoughts, click the discussion tab on the top of any page. To practice getting around, making pages, and using the editors, you may go to test123test. There are illustrations of many features, e.g., the editor can interpret and display mathematical symbols using LaTeX.

S. Jamal Rahi has agreed to assist as wikimaster. If you have suggestions for this wiki, or problems using it, you may contact him. If there is a page that you feel should be added to the Navigation menu (in the left column,) please send him a note.

ATTENTION MAC USERS

Safari cannot be used with the visual editor, only with the text editor. We recommend the FIREFOX browser instead, which is already available on your workstation at KITP or can be downloaded from here. (Mozilla's Firefox is free and available for nearly all operating systems.)
